He suggested it because I don't deal well with overly emotional, crying, touchy feely people. Ok, I read this because the boss suggested it. There's a few ethical and social limitations to it, but it does help have a high-stakes conversation and succeed. It really is an excellent book that I recommend to everyone. Note: I will add a genuine analytical review at another site when I finish. ![]() The crucial part of this list is, of course, the conversation. ![]() This is how you can fix the exodus of mass numbers of librarians, reviewers, and most importantly, readers who are leaving your site. What do you do when the conversation isn't going well and a party is acting defensively? You make it safe by:Ģ) Determine what condition of safety is at risk? Do you want a book-selling synergistic Kindle machine? Do you want to keep the hard-working librarians and reviewers who built this site material active and involved? Once you've asked these questions, you then need to ask if your body language and interactions are reflecting these goals. I suggest you take these principles to heart. My Dear, dear Goodreads Customer Service, try this. The authors of Crucial Conversations did a lot of studies discovering that people who are skilled at dialoguing during crucial conversations:ġ) start with the heart, otherwise known as the self, by knowing what they wantĢ) they avoid the 'fool's choice' of the either/or solution and look for the 'and'ģ) they are smart enough to clarify and know what they don't wantĤ) they ask their brain to try and solve the harder problem-which means the 'and' one, not the gut response oneĥ) they note what their behavior says, so that their body language/actions are in congruence with their words, thus lending believability to their words And we've all witnessed how official 'my way or the highway' belief in a new, unbroadcast Terms of Service is resulting in a notable downtick in GR activity. Ringing any bells? I can't state what the emotions of GR staff are right now, but they can't be positive ones. Specifically, an emotional need to "win" or be "right."Ģ) Believe the answer is the "fool's choice" of a yes/no, right/left solution. Sabrina is at the edge of her rope trying to hide the witchery and keep her friends safe and travels over to the other realm to get help from her aunts. Their powers are gone and they are captured during their escape and get their brains switched with a chicken. Zelda and Hilda try to leave but find themselves locked in with no way out. ![]() When they arrive at Aunt Beulah’s home it turns out to be an insane asylum with a Guy Who Thinks He’s Gary Owens, a wacky butler Bellevuedere, multiple personality Delilah, a mad scientist Dr. While Sabrina’s tries to outsmart the demon doll her aunts have headed to the Other Realm and the party. The doll keeps the doors and windows from opening, brings in the real F rankenstein’s monster, the mummy, and more. Sabrina tries to hide the doll from everyone but this turns out to be something she can not handle with her magic. Sabrina: (nervously) “That’s not what I wanted to hear”. Molly Dolly: “I’m a Molly Dolly, and I’m gonna get you”. Sabrina: “Stop that! Can’t you say anything else?” This “ Talking Tina” lookalike quickly turns this evening from a fun night to a terrifying one: Sabrina and Valerie are having a good time watching Clint Eastwood films (the video store was out of the scary movies) when she gets an unexpected delivery from the other realm. They have been able to avoid it for the last 500 years but are no longer able to. Her aunts on the other hand are not as lucky and have to attend their great aunt Beulah’s Halloween party. So far in this season Sabrina has chosen between two boys vying for her attention a half witch (Dashiell) and her previous boyfriend Harvey she gets her face turned bright red trying an embarrassment remover spell she and Harvey do not get paired up for her “fake marriage” assignment in class and she gets jealous she tries out being a witch-magician and discovers she has a witch allergy to pancakes. In season three Sabrina has gone through many adventures but currently she is trying to solve the family secret (in order to get her witches license). Sabrina’s best friend is Valerie, who is incredibly anxious and constantly freaking out with no real personality, and Sabrina is dating Harvey Kinkle “a quasi-jock with semi-literary aspirations and a hint of nihilism”. Until she gets her witch’s license she cannot see her mother and is instead sent to live with her fraternal aunts, Aunt Zelda and Hilda. What has happened so far is Sabrina is a half witch half mortal who has discovered on her 16th birthday she is a witch. This episode takes place in season three. I was always rooting for her and Harvey to get together. I loved it and am not a fan of the reboot as Melissa Joan Hart was just so sweet and the show hilarious. In comparison, Shadow of War is almost entirely self-serious and in love with its own sense of grandeur. But where’s the warmth? The heart? People love this series because it mixes its grand fantasy with humour, humanity. People solemnly discussing Sauron’s growing power, lamenting the war ahead. It’s a shame about the story, where the writers have focused squarely on the mystical, doomy side of Lord of the Rings. Talion forms an uneasy alliance with the giant spider Shelob, who appears to him as a beautiful woman a pouting goth Galadriel who slinks about in black silk speaking in riddles, but never once gets hopelessly stuck in a bathtub. The game ties into Peter Jackson’s films like this often, and in some clever ways, but equally has no qualms about hammering its own ideas into the established lore. In Shadow of War you get to visit this place before they claimed it as their fortress, back when it was the city of Minas Ithil in Gondor. In Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Frodo, Sam, and Gollum briefly stop at Minas Morgul, home of the Witch-king of Angmar and the Nazgûl. Waging psychological war on orcs like this is often more fun than fighting them. There’s something gratifying about making a scarred, snarling orc called Lûga Skull-Cracker flee in terror because one of his underlings revealed he has a secret fear of morgai flies. But before you wade into combat it’s worth interrogating weak-minded orcs to discover intel about their superiors: things they’re scared of, weapons they’re weak against, and so on. The game’s fun, crunchy combat is in the Arkham mould, with timing-based counters and an ever-increasing pool of moves and powers that increase its complexity. They’re the only characters who seem to be having any fun in this cursed world, and the vast array of positive and negative traits they have make them infinitely interesting and entertaining to fight. Forging bitter feuds with these expressive, unique enemies is the heart of the game, and easily the best thing in it. And if you defeat them, but they manage to escape, they’ll remember and reassure you that this time you won’t be so lucky. So if an orc captain or warchief kills you, they’ll gleefully taunt you about it next time they see you. Laborious and complex process, but tried, tested and confirmed to be working. The lauded nemesis system, first introduced in Shadow of Mordor, is back and expanded.

Here is some prerequisites that you’ll need to know or have before we get started: ![]() That being said, if you want to give it a try, here’s how. It is a serviceable experience that does run, but the framerate varies quite significantly and it’s still a subpar, janky experience compared to any standard Quest app. It is an impressive technical feat, but the nature of how it’s achieved means that, understandably, performance is less than ideal and it is graphically lackluster compared to playing the PC VR version over Link. This means it has all the features of Java Edition, including mod support and multiplayer/server capabilities (you can even play alongside players using the standard non-VR Java Edition). QuestCraft is essentially using a Java wrapper to run the game on Android in VR, similar to when you emulate classic video game platforms to play old games on a modern device. It is a standalone version of Minecraft running on your headset, but it’s not a native Quest app. It is still in beta and although it is playable, it is not a fantastic or seamless experience at the moment. QuestCraft is a recently released port of the Java Edition of Minecraft, made for Quest headsets with full VR support and motion controls. However, a new port of the Java Edition (QuestCraft) unofficially brings Minecraft to Quest in standalone format for the first time, albeit with incredibly variable performance and a somewhat finicky install process.
